1D. In cases of grave emergency, temporary excep-
tions to the provisions of Sections 1A and 1C of this
Article may be made by unanimous vote of the Board of
Public Works.

1E. The Board of Public Works shall be charged with
responsibility for the enforcement of the provisions of
Sections 1A, 1B, 1C and 1D, above set forth.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 280
(Senate Bill 353)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 10 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Dorchester County, " sub-title "Circuit Court, " sub-
heading "Indexes, " said new section to be known as
Section 141A and to follow immediately after Section
141 of said Article, providing that no deed conveying
real estate situated within the corporate limits of any
incorporated city or town in Dorchester County shall be
received for record by the Clerk of the Circuit Court
unless and until all public taxes, assessments, and
charges for the current year and all prior years shall
have been paid and the property shall have been trans-
ferred upon the assessment hooks of the said city or
town to the name of the new owner or owners.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 10
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Dorchester County, " sub-title "Circuit
Court, " sub-heading "Indexes, " said new section to be
known as Section 141A, to follow immediately after Section
141 of said Article, and to read as follows:

141A. Before any deed for conveyance of real estate
situated within the corporate limits of any incorporated
