section shall not apply to Carroll County, but that in said
County the County Commissioners shall publish annually
in each newspaper in said County a statement of the
receipts and expenses of said County in sufficient detail
to inform the general public, with reasonable clarity, the
source of such receipts and the nature of such expenses.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

(Senate Bill 203)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
603 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments, " sub-
title "Sabbath Breaking, " allowing the operation of
motion picture theatres in Kent County on Sunday, ex-
cept that within the corporate limits of Chestertown, no
such theatre shall be operated before 2 P. M. Sunday.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 603 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments, "
sub-title "Sabbath Breaking, " be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
603. Nothing contained in Section 578 of this Article,
however, shall be construed as prohibiting, penalizing or
making unlawful the operation of any motion picture
theatre, bowling alley, tenpin alley or duckpin alley in
Kent County on Sunday, with or without a charge or fee,
except that within the corporate limits of Chestertown, no
such alley or theatre shall be operated before 2 P. M. on
Sunday.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
