sub-heading "Further Regulations in County Waters",
said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (d) and
to follow immediately after Sub-section (c) of said
Section 278, prohibiting the hauling of seines in the
waters of Harris Creek and Skipton Creek in Talbot
County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Section
278 of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Fish
and Fisheries", sub-heading "Further Regulation in County
Waters", said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section
(d) and to follow immediately after Sub-section (c) of said
Section 278, and to read as follows:
278.
(d) It shall be unlawful at any time for any person to
haul a seine for the catching or taking of fish in Talbot
County northerly and upstream from a straight line drawn
between Change Point to the southeasterly extremity of
Knapp's Narrows STATION HAWK ON THE WEST
SIDE AND INDIAN POINT ON THE EASTERLY SIDE
(AS SHOWN ON MARYLAND OYSTER CHART #33)
in Harris Creek, and further it shall be unlawful to haul
a seine for the catching or taking of fish in the waters of
Skipton Creek in Talbot County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety and having been passed by a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.
