(d) PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT beginning with
the school year 1955-1956, for the purpose of the calculation
of payments to be made to the Board of Education of any
County or the Mayor and City Council of the City of Balti-
more under the Equalization Fund formula as used by the
State Department of Education, AS WELL AS FOR THE
PURPOSES OF THE ACTUAL MINIMUM SALARIES
REQUIRED TO BE PAID HEREUNDER, the State mini-
mum salary schedule for the basis of such calculation for
every teacher, with a degree, shall be according to the fol-
lowing schedule:
