"County Treasurer, " as said Section was amended by
Chapter 278 of the Acts of 1933, providing that the
County Treasurer of Caroline County shall be eligible for
re-election.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 109 of Article 6 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Caroline County, " sub-title "County Treasurer, " as said
section was amended by Chapter 278 of the Acts of 1933,
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

109. At the general election to be held on the first Tues-
day after the first Monday in November in the year 1934
and every fourth year thereafter, a county treasurer shall
be elected by the qualified voters of Caroline County, who
shall hold office for the term of four years from the first
Monday in July next following his election, and until his
successor shall qualify [and no County Treasurer whose
term shall expire after this Act becomes effective shall be
eligible for re-election until the lapse of one full term after
the expiration of his term and until he shall have fully
settled up all business connected with his former term. ]

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

(House Bill 575)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
12 of Chapter 801 of the Acts of 1941, being the Charter
of the Town of Hurlock, Dorchester County, raising the
salary of the Clerk of the Town of Hurlock.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 12 of Chapter 801 of the Acts of
