AN ACT to repeal Sections 150 (h) (4), 152 (e) and 156
(e) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title
"County Dispensaries", to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, Sub-sections (b), (c), (d) and (j) of
Section 150, Sections 151 (b), 152 (a) and 159 of said
Article and sub-title, abolishing the Liquor Control
Board and a County Dispensary of Queen Anne's County
and relating generally to said Board, and Dispensary.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 150 (h) (4), 152 (e) and 156 (e) of Article
2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "County Dispen-
saries", be and they are hereby repealed, that Sub-sections
(b), (c), (d) and (j) of Sections 150, Sections 151 (b),
152 (a) and 159 of said Article and sub-title, be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
150.
(b) (Members. ) The Liquor Control Board shall con-
sist of three members in each county •[, except that in
Queen Anne's County it shall consist of four (4) mem-
bers]. Those persons who are members of the respective
Boards on June 1, 1947, shall continue as such for the
balance of the period for which they may have been
appointed or elected, according to the terms and condi-
tions of. their original appointment or election. Provided
that in Montgomery County, effective July 1, 1951, there
is hereby created the position of Director of the Depart-
ment of Liquor Control, who shall be the chief administra-
tive officer of said Department of Liquor Control.
(c) (Appointment. ) The members of the respective
Boards shall be appointed by the Governor with the advice
and consent of the Senate. Provided, that in Somerset
County they shall be appointed by the Governor. In Har-
ford [and Queen Anne's Counties] County they shall be
appointed by the respective boards of county commis-
