CHAPTER 149
(House Bill 480)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
SECTIONS 40 (F) AND 40 (g-a) of Article 10 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "At-
torneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact", sub-title "State's
Attorney", raising the salary of the State's Attorney of
Harford County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section SECTIONS 40 (F) AND 40 (g-a)
of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact",
sub-title "State's Attorney", be and it is THEY ARE here-
by repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
40.
(f) The State's Attorneys of [Harford, ] St. Mary's,
Talbot and Wicomico Counties shall each receive an annual
salary of $3, 000.
(g-a) The State's Attorneys of Cecil County and Har-
ford County shall receive an annual salary of $4, 000.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953, and shall not apply to the present
incumbent.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
291 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County", sub-title
"North East", said section having been amended by
Chapter 9 of the Acts of 1939, removing certain obsolete
material therefrom concerning the election to be held in
the town of North East in the year of 1939r, AND PRO-
VIDING THAT ANY VACANCY IN THE OFFICE
