SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 7 of Article 51 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Juries", sub-title
"Qualification and Selection of Jurors", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows:
7. Hereafter no person shall be disqualified for service as
a juror in this State by reason of sex, but the provisions of
law relating to the qualifications of jurors and exemption
from jury duty shall in all cases apply to women as well
as men, and the lists from which jurors are drawn shall
include the names of men and women. The provisions of
this section shall not apply to [Allegany, ] Calvert, Carroll,
Charles, Garrett, [Talbot] Worcester, Howard, St. Mary's
and Kent Counties.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
143 of Article XIV of Chapter 534 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland (1951 Session), relating
to the power of condemnation of the City of Salisbury.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 143 of Article XIV of Chapter 534
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland (1951
Session), be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments, to read as follows:
ARTICLE XIV
CONDEMNATION
143. Procedure, (a) The City of Salisbury shall have
the power to condemn any property, right or interest, be-
