(g) The Clerks of the Circuit Courts of Caroline, Dor-
chester, Somerset, Talbot and Worcester Counties shall
each be entitled to receive an annual salary of $4, 500.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect January 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 124
(House Bill 23)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
2 (a) (6) of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1951 Edition), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title
"Definition of Words and Phrases, " and Section 21 of
said Article, sub-title "Administration—Registration—
Titling", and to repeal Sub-sections (Class P. Repairers
of Vehicles) and (Class Q. Wreckers of Vehicles) of
Section 80 of said Article and sub-title, relating gener-
ally to the definition, registration fees and operation of
towing vehicles.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 2(a) (6) of Article 66½ of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Motor
Vehicles", sub-title "Definition of Words and Phrases",
and Section 21 of said Article, sub-title "Administration—
Registration—Titling", be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(a).

(6). (Commercial Motor Vehicles—For Hire. ) All
motor vehicles, including semi-trailers and trailers, and
tow-trucks,
except taxicabs, used or to be used in the trans-
portation of passengers or property or towing of vehicles
for hire. Nothing herein shall be construed as including
