said new section to be known as Section 724DD and to
follow immediately after Section 724CC of said Code, to
extend the limits of the Mayor and City Council of
Hyattsville, Maryland, a municipal Corporation, by in-

cluding therein a part of Prince George's County con-

tiguous thereto, and to provide for a referendum election
thereon CLUDING THEREIN PARTS OF PRINCE
GEORGE'S COUNTY CONTIGUOUS THERETO, AND
TO PROVIDE FOR A REFERENDUM ELECTION
THEREON, AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE CREA-
TION OF WARD 5 IN HYATTSVILLE AND THE
ELECTION OF A COUNCILMAN THEREFROM.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County
(Flack's 1943 Edition), said new section to be known as
Section 724DD and to follow immediately after Section
724CC of said Code as submitted to the General Assembly
of Maryland at the 1953 Session, and to read as follows:

724DD. (A) There is hereby annexed to the territory of
the Mayor and City Council of Hyattsville, Maryland, a
municipal corporation, and to the First Ward thereof, all
of the land adjacent and contiguous to the present City of
Hyattsville in Prince George's County, Maryland, described
as follows:

Beginning for the same at a point where the westerly line
of the R. P. Evans Addition to Hyattsville is intersected by
the centerline of 60 foot wide Gallatin Street as shown on a
plat entitled "Lanhardt Subdivision, Section One" which
plat is duly recorded among the Plat Records of Prince
George's County, Maryland, in Plat Book WWW 17 at
plat 66, thence running with the said westerly line of R. P.
Evans Addition to Hyattsville South 21 degrees 00 minutes
00 seconds West until it intersects the centerline of the
Northwest Branch, thence running with the meanderings
of the centerline of the Northwest Branch, northwesterly
to a point where the centerline of said Branch is inter-
sected by the prolongation of the westerly line of Section
One, Lanhardt Subdivision as recorded aforesaid and Sec-
tion Two, Lanhardt Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book
WWW 18 at plat 95 one of the Plat Records of said County,
thence running with said westerly line of said Subdivision
and the prolongation thereof, North 21 degrees 00 minutes
00 seconds East to a point where said westerly line is inter-
sected by the centerline of the aforementioned 60 foot wide
