Salary Increases for State Employees

General Fund Appropriation, for supplement-

ing salaries of State Employees in accordance

with revisions in salary scales recommended

by the Standard Salary Board and where no

scale exists comparable increases consistent

with recommended standard scale revisions

except where the salary of a position is

specifically fixed by statute; this amount to

be used in allocating by budget amendment

to the various State agencies the amount

necessary to supplement the appropriation

From Special Funds for supplementing sal-

aries of State Employees in accordance with

revisions in standard scales recommended by

the Standard Salary Board and where no scale

exists comparable increases consistent with

recommended standard scale revisions ex-

cept where the salary of a position is speci-

fically fixed by statute; authorization is here-

by granted to use Special Funds for this pur-

pose, in the amount of $1, 120, 000, to be pay-

able out of revenues which are the source of

funds for the payment of budget appro-

priations payable out of Special Funds; this

amount being estimated and it being the in-

tention that the actual amount, whether it

be more or less, shall be made available in

allocating by budget amendment to the var-

ious State agencies the amounts necessary to

supplement the appropriations for salaries

in this budget.
