missioners of Calvert County are empowered, authorized
and directed to pay any and all interest becoming due
before the next levy, out of any other funds at their dis-
posal, and to levy at the next succeeding levy an amount
sufficient to reimburse such other funds.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure, and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety, and having been passed by a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 631
(Senate Bill 448)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commis-
sioners of Calvert County, in their discretion, to borrow
upon the faith and credit of said County the sum of Two
Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250, 000. 00) and to
issue bonds therefor, for the purpose of defraying cur-
rent school expenses and/or repaying to funds from
which they were advanced amounts heretofore expended
in the maintenance and operation of schools in Calvert
County; and providing for the levying of taxes in
Calvert County for the payment of the principal and
interest on such bonds.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Calvert County be and
they are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow at
one time or from time to time, upon the faith and credit
of said County a sum or sums, not exceeding in the aggregate
Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250, 000. 00), and
to issue and sell bonds therefor, the proceeds thereof to be
used for the purpose of defraying current school expenses
and/or repaying to funds from which they were advanced
