SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 346 of Article 93 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Testamentary
Law, " sub-title "Wills, " be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
346. No will, testament, or codicil shall be good and
effectual for any purpose whatsoever, unless the person
making the same be at the time of executing or acknowledg-
ing it as hereafter directed, of sound and disposing mind,
and capable of executing a valid deed or contract. No will,
testament, or codicil shall be good and effectual to pass
any interest or estate in any lands, tenements or incor-
poreal hereditaments, unless the person making the same,
[if a male be of the full age of twenty-one years, and if a
female] whether male or female, be of the full age of
eighteen years.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

(House Bill 100)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
107 and 108 of Article 21 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1951 Edition), title "Conveyancing, " sub-title "De-
fective Conveyances, " to make valid certain deeds, mort-
gages, bonds of conveyances, bills of sale and all other
conveyances, of real and personal property, powers of
attorney relating thereto, or of any interest therein or
agreements relating thereto defective in acknowledgment
or in the certificate thereof or when the official character
of the officer taking the acknowledgment has not been
stated in the body of the certificate or certified to as re-
quired by law or when the conveyance or agreement has
not been witnessed or sealed and relating generally to
defective conveyances in this State.
