AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 94 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", relating generally to
the meetings and compensation of the members of the
Board of County Commissioners of Allegany County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 94 of Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Allegany County", sub-title "County Commissioners", be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
94. [The County Commissioners of Allegany County
now in office and those hereafter elected to said office,
shall meet at least twice in each week, and they shall
receive full compensation for all of their services, the sum of
fifteen hundred dollars per annum, payable monthly. ] The
County Commissioners of Allegany County, after their
election and qualification, shall at the first meeting in each
new term, elect one of their number to be President of the
County Commissioners of Allegany County, who shall pre-
side at all meetings of said County Commissioners. The
County Commissioners shall meet at least twice in each
week in the office of the County Commissioners in the
Court House, Cumberland, Maryland. Each Commissioner
shall receive as full compensation for all of his services,
the sum of Twenty one EIGHTEEN Hundred Dollars per
year and the President of the County Commissioners shall
receive the sum of Twenty-four Hundred TWO THOU-
SAND Dollars per year, all of said salaries being payable
semi-monthly.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
