To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OP THE STATE OP
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Referendum
Election held in the Town of Hyattsville, Prince George's
County, Maryland, on Monday, June 22,1953, an Act known
as Chapter 749 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1953 was submitted to the voters of the Town
of Hyattsville, Prince George's County, Maryland, for their
adoption or rejection under the provisions of Chapter 749
of the Acts of 1953, said Act being as follows:
"An Act to add Sec. 724DD to the Code of Prince
George's County (1943 Edition) extending the
boundaries of the town of Hyattsville, in Prince
George's County".
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at such election 57 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 749 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1953 and 21 votes were cast
against the adoption of the said Chapter 749, and a majority
of the votes being cast in favor of the adoption of the said
Act, the same has, therefore, been ratified by the voters of
the Town of Hyattsville, Prince George's County.
