To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Code of Maryland (1951 Edition)
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Election on Refer-
endum held in Ocean City, Worcester County, Maryland,
March 9, 1953, an Act known as Chapter 52 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1953 was submitted to the voters
of Ocean City, for their adoption or rejection, under the
provision of Chapter 52 of the Acts of 1953, said Act being:
"An Act to determine whether or not the City be au-
thorized to borrow a sum or sums of money not ex-
ceeding $75,000, for the extension of water mains,
etc., and for the purpose of erecting a public rest
room in the Town of Ocean City."
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 101 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 52 of the Acts of
1953 and 14 votes were cast against the adoption of the said
Act; and a majority being cast in favor of the adoption of
said Chapter 52 of the Acts of 1953, the said Act has, there-
lore, been ratified by the voters of the Town of Ocean City.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
