LAWS OF MARYLAND OF 1954

MARYLAND, Sct.:

At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun
and held in the City of Annapolis on the Third day
of February, 1954, and ending on the Fourth day of
March, 1954, the Honorable Theodore R. McKeldin,
being Governor of the State, the following Laws
were enacted, to wit:

CHAPTER 1
(House Bill 266)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 261 of Article
66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Natural Resources," sub-title "Tidal Waters,"
said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (j) of
said section and to follow immediately after Sub-section
(i) of said section, providing that it shall be unlawful
to fish with a haul seine IN CERTAIN WATERS OF
THE CHESAPEAKE BAY AND ITS TRIBUTARIES
during the period of from one hour bofore sundown
FRIDAY MIDNIGHT until one hour bofore sunup ON
MONDAY and providing a penalty for violation of this
provisions-, AND PROVIDING THAT THE PRO-
VISIONS OF THIS ACT SHALL NOT APPLY IN
WORCESTER COUNTY.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new sub-section be and it is hereby
added to Section 261 of Article 66C of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Natural Resources,"
sub-title "Tidal Waters," said new sub-section to be known
as Sub-section (j) of said section and to follow immed-
iately after Sub-section (i) of said section, and to read
as follows:

(j) It shall be unlawful for any person to fish with a
haul seine during the period from one hour bofore sun
