SAID BOARD OCCURS AFTER JUNE 1,1954, INVOLV-
ING A MEMBERSHIP WHICH HAS THERETOFORE
BEEN HELD BY A SUPERINTENDENT OF A MARY-
LAND HOSPITAL. THE GOVERNOR SHALL APPOINT
AS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD A PERSON WHO HAS
BEEN AN OWNER OR OPERATOR OF A LICENSED
NURSING HOME AS PROVIDED HEREINABOVE;
SUCH APPOINTMENT SHALL BE for a period of five
(5) years, and thereafter all of said positions on the Ad-
visory Board shall be filled as provided in this section. All
members of said Advisory Board shall be citizens and
residents of the State of Maryland for a period of at least
one year immediately prior to appointment; at least two
(2) shall be residents of the City of Baltimore; at least
two (2) shall be residents of the counties; and all mem-
bers shall serve without compensation. Meetings of said
Advisory Board may be called by the State Board of Health
or by any three members of the Advisory Board on proper
notice.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1954.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tions 31, 32 (b) and (c) and 33 (a) of Article 73B of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title
"Pensions", sub-title "Social Security Benefits", provid-
ing social security coverage for certain groups of em-
ployees of the State of Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 31, 32 (b) and (c) and 33 (a)
of Article 73B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition), title "Pensions", sub-title "Social Security Bene-
fits", be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
