CHAPTER 70

(Senate Bill 81)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 45A to 45M, inclusive, of
Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Conserva-
tion of Natural Resources", sub-heading "Oil and Gas",
said sections having been enacted by Chapter 613 of the
Acts of 1953 and relating to the development, production
and utilization of the natural resources of oil and gas
in this state under the Department of Geology, Mines
and Water Resources.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 45A to 45M, inclusive, of Article 66C of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Natural
Resources", sub-title "Conservation of Natural Resources",
sub-heading "Oil and Gas", said sections having been
enacted by Chapter 613 of the Acts of 1953, be and they
are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That as of July 1,
1954, any and all funds which have been appropriated for
or which stand to the credit of the Department of Geology,
Mines and Water Resources for the purposes of said Sec-
tions 45A to 45M, inclusive, of Article 66C of the Code as
enacted by Chapter 613 of the Acts of 1953, shall revert to
and shall be considered a part of the General Funds of the
State Treasury.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1954.
