(House Bill 5)

AN ACT to add a new paragraph to Section 22 (a) of
Article 66i/₂ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Administra-
tion—Registration—Titling", said new paragraph to be
known as Paragraph (7) and to follow immediately
after Paragraph (6) thereof, as said Paragraph (6)
was added by Chapter 85 of the Acts of 1953; to repeal
and re-enact, with amendments, Section 139 of Article
56 of the said Code, title "Licenses", sub-title "Motor
Vehicle Fuel Tax", as said section was amended by Chap-
ter 133 of the Acts of 1953; and to repeal and re-enact,
with amendments, Section 28 (d) of said Article 66%
and of said title and sub-title, as said section was amend-
ed by Chapter 657 of the Acts of 1953, granting to ambu-
lances owned and used by any chapter in Maryland of
the American Red Cross an exemption from the registra-
tion provisions for motor vehicles, an exemption from
the State motor vehicle fuel tax, and an exemption from
the excise tax for the issuance of certificates of title for
motor vehicles in this Stater AND GRANTING TO
AMBULANCES OWNED AND USED BY ANY BONA
FIDE UNIT OF A NATIONAL VETERANS' ORGAN-
IZATION AN EXEMPTION FROM THE REGISTRA-
TION PROVISION FOR MOTOR VEHICLES AND AN
EXEMPTION FROM THE STATE MOTOR VEHI-
CLE FUEL TAX.
