Hospital Inpatient Program

Hospitals providing funds for dis-

bursement by the Treasury Depart-

ment to the 36 institutions listed in

the program and performance state-

ment for this program on transmit-

tals from the State Department of

Health. Eligibility for hospital in-

patient care of individuals in the

named institutions shall be deter-

mined by the local Departments of

Public Welfare under policies estab-

lished by the State Department of

Public Welfare. Payments to General

Hospitals shall be at the lesser of

(a) $12.00 per patient day; (b) hos-

pital cost per patient day; (c) bill-

ings to other patients for like serv-

ices. In the event that the Federal

Government makes funds available

to the State for hospitalization of

the indigent any part of the appro-

priation may be used for matching
