Under the provisions of Section 17 of Article 2 of the State
Constitution bills vetoed after adjournment of the Legis-
lature must be returned by the Governor to the next regular
or special session of the General Assembly. The bill was re-
passed over the Governor's veto by the Senate on February
4,1954, and in the House of Delegates on February 8,1954.
The bill will take effect on June 1, 1954.
CHAPTER 6
(Senate Bill 487)
AN ACT to provide that the pensions paid to certain
retired former members of the Anne Arundel County
Police Force shall be increased.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the pensions paid to the following former
members of the Anne Arundel County Police Force, Jack
Wilkerson, Daniel P. Donelly, Wilmer J. Trimble and P.
Whitney Johnson, shall be increased to the sum of One Hun-
dred and Twenty-five Dollars ($125.00) per month.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
This bill was passed at the 1953 session of the General
Assembly and was vetoed by the Governor on May 6, 1953.
