SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the repeal of
Chapter 13 of the Acts of the Regular Session of 1950
hereinabove in this Act shall not be construed to change or
affect in any manner any proceedings pending under the
provisions of the said Chapter 13 of 1950 at the time this
Act becomes effective. Any and all such proceedings pend-
ing under the said Chapter 13 of 1950 at the time this Act
becomes effective shall be continued and prosecuted under
the provisions of the said Chapter 13 of 1950 as if this
Act had not been passed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

CHAPTER 302
(Senate Bill 230)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Sub-
section (a) of Section 11 of Article 36 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Fees of
Officers, " sub-title "Bailiffs, " increasing RELATING TO
the compensation of the bailiffs of Queen Anne's County.
AND FREDERICK COUNTY.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section (a) of Section 11 of Article 36 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title
"Fees of Officers, " sub-title "Bailiffs, " be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows:

11.

(a). Every bailiff attending the circuits courts in the
counties in this State shall be entitled to the compensa-
tion hereinafter prescribed for each day he shall attend
said court, except as otherwise herein provided.

Bailiffs in Charles and St. Mary's Counties shall each
receive Four Dollars ($4. 00) per day.
