Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Surveyor and State Sur-
vey, " sub-title "Bureau of Control Surveys and Maps, " be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

37. The activities of the Bureau of Control Surveys
and Maps shall be determined by an Advisory Board, con-
sisting of the Chief Engineer of the State Roads Commis-
sion of Maryland, the [Chairman DIRECTOR of the State
Planning Commission], Chief Engineer of Maryland and,
the Dean of the College of Engineering of the University
of Maryland. AND THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPART-
MENT OF GEOLOGY, MINES AND WATER RE-
SOURCES. The members of this Board shall serve with-
out compensation, except that they shall be reimbursed for
their necessary traveling expenses.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 484 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments, "
sub-title "Death Penalty, " and to add a new section to
said Article and sub-title, said new section to be known
as Section 487A and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 487 thereof, relating to the issue of warrants for
the execution of the death penalty and to be applicable
to crimes committed after June 1, 1951.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 484 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments, " sub-title "Death Penalty, " be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows.
