frozen dairy foods and ices or frozen dairy foods and ices
mix.
Nothing contained in this Act or in the rules and regula-
tions of the said Board shall be held to be effective in any City
or Town having more than 100, 000 population, provided said
City or Town maintains its own municipal health department
and maintains a system of control oner all frozen dairy foods
and ices or frozen dairy foods or ices mix under State or local
law or City Ordinances. All rules and regulations issued by
the said Board, when duly promulgated, shall have the effect
and force of law.
All fees paid under the provisions of this section for a license
to be issued by the State Department of Health shall be duly
accounted for by such Department to the State Comptroller
and shall be used by such Department in carrying out the pro-
visions of Sections 194 and 195 and shall be included in the
State Budget to be submitted to the General Assembly at each
regular session thereof.
SEC. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT THIS
ACT SHALL TAKE EFFECT JUNE 1, 1951.

(House Bill 115)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
299 and 385 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Laws of
Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1949 Edition), title
"Baltimore City", sub-titles "Criers, Bailiffs, Watchmen and
Stenographers", and "Jurors", increasing the compensation
of the court stenographers for the several courts of Balti-
more City and the stenographer assigned to the Grand Jury
of said City.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 299 and 385 of Article 4 of the Code of
Public Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1949
