86C (122-16). (Repeal of Old Chevy Chase Act In Reference
to Special Taxing Areas. ) Sections 61 to 64 inclusive of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County, 1947
edition, in so far as they apply to Chevy Chase Village or any
section of Chevy Chase included within the boundaries of said
Chevy Chase Village as set forth in this Act are hereby re-
pealed.
86D (122-17). (Saving Clause. ) If any clause, sentence,
paragraph, or part of this Act shall for any reason be adjudged
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such ad-
judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remainder
of this Act, but shall be confined in its operation to the clause,
sentence, paragraph, or part thereof directly involved in the
controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all of the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 433)
AN ACT to add a new section to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Prince George's County (1943 Edition), being
Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Prince George's County", said new section to be known
as Section 1287A, to be under the sub-title "State's Attor-
ney", and to follow immediately after Section 1287 of said
Article, relating to prosecution on information filed by the
State's Attorney for Prince George's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to the Code
of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1943 Edi-
