other than as representing the County's interests before such
department, commission, board or agency. The County Com-
missioners are authorized and empowered to appropriate a
sum not exceeding five thousand dollars each year for the ex-
penses of the Law Department.
NOTHING IN THIS SUB-TITLE SHALL BE CON-
STRUED TO PREVENT THE SAID COUNTY COMMIS-
SIGNERS FROM ENGAGING THE SERVICES FOR A
TEMPORARY PERIOD OF ANY ATTORNEY OR ATTOR-
NETS FOR LEGAL WORK OF AN EXTRA OR UNUSUAL
NATURE, WHEN IN THE JUDGMENT OF THE COM-
MISSIONERS SAID WORK IS OF SUCH CHARACTER
OR MAGNITUDE AS TO REQUIRE LEGAL SERVICES
IN ADDITION TO THOSE OF THE COUNTY SOLICITOR
AND HIS ASSISTANTS.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws incon-
sistent with the provisions of this Act be and the same are
hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

(House Bill 190)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
352 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Health
—Narcotic Drugs", providing penalties for the sale or other
disposition of narcotic drugs to a minor.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 352 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments",
sub-title "Health—Narcotic Drugs", be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
