Sub-section (a) of said Section 77, relating to the hours
for the sale of alcoholic beverages in Cecil County on
New Year's Day.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Section
77 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Hours
and Days for Sale", said new sub-section to be known as
Sub-section (a-1) and to follow immediately after Sub-
section (a) of said Section 77 and to read as follows:
77.
(a-1) (Cecil County. ) In Cecil County the Board of
License Commissioners upon application shall issue a
special permit authorizing licensees therein to stay open
on New Year's Day without regard to any restrictions as
to hours or days of sale contained in this sub-title; but the
said licensees shall be subject to regulations adopted by
the Board restricting and specifying the hours during
which classes of such licensees may stay open on New
Year's Day.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sub-
section (c) of Section 393A of the Prince George's
County Code (1943 Edition), title "Prince George's
County, " sub-title, "County Commissioners, " as said sub-
section (c) of Section 393A was added by Chapter 827 of
the Acts of 1945, exempting members of the Department
of Maryland State Police from the necessity of delivery
of property and money coming into their possession by
reason of their official duties to the Property Clerk of
Prince George's County.
