SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

CHAPTER 209
(Senate Bill 66)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-
section 46 (d) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Revenue and
Taxes, " sub-title "When Taxes Are Payable, " relating
to the provisions applying to the collection of taxes in
Queen Anne's County which have become overdue and
in arrears.

WHEREAS, the collection of taxes in Queen Anne's County
has always been according to the procedure specified in
Section 199 of Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Queen Anne's County, " this section
having been most recently amended by Chapter 9 of the
Acts of the Special Session of 1936; and

WHEREAS, some question has arisen as to whether the
provisions of said Section 199 have been amended by the
effect of the provisions contained in Sub-section 46 (d) of
Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Sup-
plement); and

WHEREAS, in order to clarify this uncertainty it is desir-
able to amend the provisions of said Sub-section 46 (d)
insofar as it relates to the collection of overdue taxes in
Queen Anne's County; and

WHEREAS, it is likewise desirable in order to remove all
uncertainty to enact a curative provision to remedy any
possible defect in the procedure followed in the past: now
therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section 46 (d) of Article 81 of the Annotated
