CHAPTER 192
(House Bill 210)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
182 of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Garrett County", sub-title "Fire
Departments", as said section was amended by Chapter 241
of the Acts of 1949, providing for the payments of certain
amounts to be paid to the Volunteer Fire Department of
Deer Park in said County AND INCREASING THE PAY-
MENTS TO THE FRIENDSVILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE
DEPARTMENT.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Section 182 of Article 12 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Garrett Coun-
ty", sub-title "Fire Departments", as said section was amended
by Chapter 241 of the Acts of 1949, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

182. The County Commissioners of Garrett County are
hereby authorized, empowered and directed to pay the sum of
Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1, 200. 00) annually to the Oakland
Volunteer Fire Department, the sum of One Thousand Dollars
($1, 000. 00) annually to the Grantsville Volunteer Fire De-
partmont, and the sum of Seven Hundred Dollars ($700. 00)
annually each to the Friendsville Volunteer Fire Depart-
ment
($1, 000. 00) ANNUALLY EACH TO THE FRIENDS-
VILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT AND THE
GRANTSVILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND
THE SUM OF SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ($700. 00)
ANNUALLY EACH TO the Gorman Volunteer Fire Depart-
ment, the Kitzmiller Volunteer Fire Department, the Accident
Volunteer Fire Department, [and] the Bloomington Volun-
teer Fire Department and the Deer Park Volunteer Fire De-
partment,
so long as each of said fire departments remains an
active fire fighting organization, for their benefit, said sums of
money to be used by the said fire departments for the pur-
chase, repair or maintenance of fire fighting equipment.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
