WHEREAS, in view of the fact that Maryland recently has
passed a new child care law, Sections 29, 30 and 31 of Article
88A of the Code are unnecessary; and
WHEREAS, under the child care law, Maryland has the right
to make reciprocal arrangements with other states for the
care of children; now therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 29, 30 and 31 of Article 88A of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition and 1947 Supplement),
title "State Department of Public Welfare", sub-title "Pauper
or Vagrant Children", be and they are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

(House Bill 41)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 27A
of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Administra-
tion—Registration—Titling", as said section was amended
by Chapter 125 of the Acts of 1949, authorizing the
County Commissioners of Allegany County to designate
some officer or employee of the County to act as the agent
of the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles in fee registration
of certain motor vehicles, in lieu of the County Treasurer.
BY CHAPTER 125 OF THE ACTS OF 1949, AUTHORIZ-
ING AND DIRECTING THE TAX COLLECTOR FOR
THE FIRST TAX COLLECTION DISTRICT OF ALLE-
GANY COUNTY TO ACT AS THE AGENT OF THE
COMMISSIONER OF MOTOR VEHICLES IN THE REG-
ISTRATION OF CERTAIN MOTOR VEHICLES IN
ALLEGANY COUNTY.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
