support and restitutions of money or property.
(c) The Director shall receive such salary as the Judges
of the Circuit Court and County Commissioners may order
and approve, to be paid in regular monthly installments,
by the County Commissioners of Harford County. In ad-
dition to his salary, the Director shall be allowed his office
expenses and actual traveling expenses when in the dis-
charge of his duty, said office and traveling expenses to
be paid by the County Commissioners upon the approval
and order of said court.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
6A of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Juries, " sub-title "Qualifica-
tion and Selection of Jurors, " providing for jury serv-
ice by women in Allegany County and making this Act
subject to a referendum therein.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6A of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Juries, " sub-title
"Qualification and Selection of Jurors, " be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
6A. Hereafter no person shall be disqualified for serv-
ice as a juror in this State by reason of sex, but the pro-
visions of law relating to the qualifications of jurors and
exemption from jury duty shall in all cases apply to women
as well as men, and the lists from which jurors are drawn
shall include the names of men and women. The provisions
of this section shall not apply to [Allegany, ] Calvert, Car-
roll, Charles, Garrett, Queen Anne's, Talbot, Worcester,
Howard, St. Mary's, Kent and Washington Counties.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That before the pro-
visions of this Act shall become effective, the County Com-
