MARYLAND, Sec.:
At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun and
held in the City of Annapolis on the Third day of
January, 1951, and ending on the Second day of April,
1951, the Honorable Theodore R. McKeldin, being
Governor of the State, the following Laws were en-
acted, to wit:
CHAPTER 1
(Senate Bill 38)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 27A of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1947 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles, " sub-
title "Administration—Registration—Titling, " as said
section was amended by Chapter 125 of the Acts of 1949,
making it mandatory for the County Treasurer of Anne
Arundel County to act as the agent of the Commissioner
of Motor Vehicles in the registration of certain motor
vehicles.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 27A of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles, " sub-
title "Administration—Registration—Titling, " as said sec-
tion was amended by Chapter 125 of the Acts of 1949, be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
27A. (a) The County Treasurer of each county in this
State, shall act as the agent of the Commissioner of Motor
Vehicles in the registration of motor vehicles of the Class
A passenger or pleasure type and all motor trucks which
are privately owned and not operated for hire and the issu-
ance of metal plates or markers, as provided in Section 27
of this Article, in like manner as if application had been
