of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 4
(Senate Bill 9)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 341 to 346, inclusive, of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Baltimore City and the Baltimore
City Charter (1949 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-
title "Horseshoeing", said sections relating to the practice
of horseshoeing in Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 341 to 346, inclusive, of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Baltimore City and the Baltimore City Charter
(1949 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Horseshoe-
ing", be and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1951.

CHAPTER 5
(Senate Bill 13)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 73B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Pen-
sions", said new section to be known as Section 3A and to
follow immediately after Section 3 of said Article, per-
mitting any employee of the State who did not elect in
1941 to become a member of the Employees' Retirement
System to make such an election between June 1, 1951, and
December 31, 1951.
