immediate preservation of the public health and safety and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 183)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
96(4) of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-
title "Leonardtown", as said section was amended by
Chapter 337 of the Acts of 1949, modifying the provisions
as to notices as to municipal elections.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 96(4) of Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's
County", sub-title "Leonardtown", as said section was amended
by Chapter 337 of the Acts of 1949, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
96.
(4). The Clerk to the Commissioners of the Town of Leon-
ardtown shall cause [this Act] a notice of said election to be
published in any two newspapers of general publication in
said Town for two successive weeks beginning on the first
Friday in April of each successive year, or on the nearest pub-
lishing date thereto, so that the last publication will occur
not [less] more than thirty (30) days prior to the date set
for election.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
