2078 JOINT RESOLUTIONS
Resolved, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Chair-
man of the Ways and Means Committee of the House of Repre-
sentatives and to each Member of the Senate and House of
Representatives from Maryland in the Congress of the United
States.

(House Joint Resolution 3)
House Joint Resolution recommending that the facilities and
knowledge of the chiropractic profession be utilized in any
program for civilian defense.
WHEREAS, the aid and assistance of all persons and of all
groups will be necessary in the civilian defense program now
being formulated for this State; and
WHEREAS, members of the chiropractic profession are especi-
ally trained in the healing arts and have participated fully in
the civilian defense program during the second World War;
and
WHEREAS, members of the chiropractic profession realize
fully the necessity for a program of civilian defense for the
protection of the health and safety of this State and of this
nation; and
WHEREAS, the Maryland Chiropractic Association has
formally pledged its full cooperation with the civilian defense
program in the State of Maryland in order that the science of
chiropractic may serve this State and its people in any time
of need; now therefore be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That this
body heartily recommends to the Director of Civilian Defense
in the State of Maryland that he enlist the full cooperation
and support of the chiropractic profession in whatever pro-
grams are formulated for civilian defense; and be it further
