have effect from the first day of September in the year in
which it may have been obtained until the twenty-fifth day
of April, inclusive, next succeeding.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
12(b)(3), 13, (22) (a) (2), 25(b), 34, 49(c) AND 66
of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title
"Administration—Registration—Titling", AND TO RE-
PEAL AND RE-ENACT, WITH AMENDMENTS,
SECTION 107 (C) OF SAID ARTICLE, SUB-TITLE
"MOTOR VEHICLE FINANCIAL RESPONSIBIL-
ITY", as said section was SECTIONS WERE amended
by Chapter 741 of the Acts of 1949, providing for the
registration of private passenger vehicles by factory
identification number or factory serial number.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 12(b) (3), 13, 22(a) (2), 25(b), 34, 49(c)
AND 66 of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1947 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title
"Administration—Registration—Titling", as said section
was SECTIONS WERE amended by Chapter 741 of the
Acts of 1949, be and it is THEY ARE hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, AND THAT SECTION
107 (c) OF SAID ARTICLE, SUB-TITLE "MOTOR
VEHICLE FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY", BE AND
IT IS HEREBY REPEALED AND ^RE-ENACTED,
WITH AMENDMENTS, AND ALL to read as follows:

12. (b) (3). All private passenger vehicles [under the
engine number and in the case of] and commercial vehicles
