or a Commissioner or its inspector or examiner, testified to or
produced documentary evidence of; provided, however, that
no person so testifying shall be exempt from prosecution or
punishment for any perjury committed by him in his testi-
mony.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

CHAPTER 580
(House Bill 527)

AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Cumber-
land, Maryland, to acquire real estate by purchase, lease or
condemnation and to erect thereon the necessary improve-
ments; to establish a municipal parking lot or garage in the
City of Cumberland, Maryland; and to authorize the Mayor
and City Council of Cumberland, Maryland, to issue revenue
bonds for financing of the said municipal parking lot or gar-
age, and to provide for the liquidating of the principal and
interest of said revenue bonds from the net profit realized
from the operation of said municipal parking lot or garage.
AND MAKING THIS ACT SUBJECT TO A REFER-
ENDUM.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Mary-
land, be and that said municipal corporation is hereby given
the power and authority to acquire real estate by lease, pur-
chase or by condemnation, as provided in Article 33A of the
Code of Public General Laws of the State of Maryland, for the
purpose of operating and maintaining thereon a municipal
parking lot or garage, and that said municipal corporation be
and is hereby given the power and authority to erect and con-
struct suitable buildings to enable it to operate a municipal
parking lot or garage.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Mayor and City
Council of Cumberland be and is hereby authorized and em-
