BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CAROLINE
COUNTY.

WHEREAS, The Commissioners of Denton, a municipal cor-
poration of the State of Maryland, owns an unimproved lot
or parcel of land situated at the northwest corner of Fifth
Avenue and Franklin Street, in the Town of Denton, Caroline
County, Maryland, which the said Town has no present in-
tention to use for its direct corporate purposes; and

WHEREAS, Caroline County Health Association, Inc., is a
Maryland corporation formed and established for the purpose
of promoting good health among the citizens of Caroline
County and maintaining health centers and health facilities
to that end, all of which things are to be done on a non-profit,
charitable and benevolent basis; and

WHEREAS, The Commissioners of Denton have the duty of
preserving and improving the health and welfare of the citi-
zens of said Town and the activities of said Caroline County
Health Association, Inc., will greatly aid The Commissioners
of Denton in the improvement and preservation of the health
and welfare of the citizens of said Town; and

WHEREAS, The said Caroline County Health Association,
Inc., requires a site in the Town of Denton for a building in
which to maintain its establishment, health center and facili-
ties and has requested the cooperation and support of The
Commissioners of Denton, a municipal corporation, and for
said purposes has requested a conveyance of said lot of ground
with its appurtenances, which The Commissioners of Denton
consider necessary and are willing to do; and

WHEREAS, authority from and/or consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland is considered necessary to invest said
The Commissioners of Denton, a municipal corporation, with
power and authority to grant and to convey said lot, with its
appurtenances, unto Caroline County Health Association, Inc.,
a body corporate, and to its successors and assigns, OR TO
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CARO-
LINE COUNTY; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That The Commissioners of Denton, a municipal cor-
poration, be and it is hereby authorized and empowered to
convey in fee simple, all that lot or parcel of land situated in
the Town of Denton, Caroline County, Maryland, at the north-
west corner of Fifth Avenue and Franklin Street, said lot
having been conveyed to said Commissioners by deed of Sher-
