reports shall be made at the intervals prescribed and upon
the forms supplied by said Board.

(b) It shall be the duty of the clerks of any said courts,
respectively, to transmit to the State Board of Health at inter-
vals and in the form prescribed by regulation of said Board,
a certified report of any amendments made to the records of
marriages, divorces and annulments of marriage, altering
data previously reported to said Board.

(c) The clerks of the said courts shall receive no extra com-
pensation for transmitting the said reports to said Board or
for making records available for reproduction by said Board.

(d) The State Board of Health shall be authorized to make
photostatic, photographic or micro-photographic reproduc-
tions of the original records of marriage, if and when such
reproductions are in its opinion practicable and in the public
interest. The expense of such reproduction shall be borne by
said State Board of Health; and such photostatic, photographic
or micro-photographic reproductions of such marriage records,
when so made and certified under the seal of the said Board,
shall be entitled to the same legal force and effect as the
original marriage records from which such reproductions were
made. Provided, that such reproductions shall be made in
such fashion and at such times as not to interfere with the
orderly transaction of the business of the Clerk of the Court,
and that the original records from which the Clerk of the
Court prepares certified copies shall not be removed from his
custody by said Board.

(e) Any clerk who shall fail to comply with the provisions
of this section, shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine of
ten dollars ($10) for each offense.

SEC. 2. And be further enacted, That Sections 14 to 30,
inclusive, of Article 43 of said Code (1939 Edition and 1947
Supplement) title "Health", sub-title "State Registrar of
Vital Statistics", Section 25 thereof having been amended by
Chapter 453 of the Acts of 1949, be and the same are hereby
repealed, that the name of said sub-title be changed to "Vital
Statistics", and that fifteen new sections be and they are
hereby enacted in lieu of the sections so repealed, said new
sections to be known as Sections 14 to 28, inclusive, of said
Article 43, and all to read as follows:

VITAL STATISTICS
14. (State Board of Health to Register Vital Statistics)

(a) The State Board of Health shall collect certificates of
birth, death and stillbirth, permanently bind, preserve, and
protect them from loss by fire and other damage, and shall
