term of one year, four for a term of two years, and four for a
term of three years, and, on the expiration of their respective
terms, their successors shall be appointed for a term of three
years.

(c) Three members of said Advisory Council on Hospital
Construction shall be appointed from a list of names sub-
mitted by the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland;
four members shall be appointed from a list of names sub-
mitted by the Maryland-District of Columbia Hospital As-
sociation, at least two of whom shall be physicians; one mem-
ber shall be a member of the faculty of a graduate school of
Public Health in the State of Maryland; [and] three mem-
bers shall be representatives of consumers of hospital services
selected from among persons familiar with the need for such
services in urban and rural areas [. ]; and one member shall
be a representative of the State Department of Health selected
by the Board of Health.

(d) In addition to the members so appointed, the persons
holding the following positions shall also serve as members of
said Advisory Council on Hospital Construction: [the Direc-
tor of the Department of Health of Maryland; ] the Commis-
sioner of Mental Hygiene of Maryland; two members of the
Commission on Medical Care of the Maryland State Planning
Commission, designated by said Commission; and the Commis-
sioner of Health of Baltimore City.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 12 of said
Article 43, sub-title "State Board of Health", Sections 35 and
41 of said Article, sub-title "Miscellaneous Provisions", and
Section 196 of said Article, sub-title "Adulteration of Pood
and Drink", be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1951.
