hydrants and other facilities. The exact amount of the tax to
be
levied shall be as specified by the resident owners of real
estate in the said Special Tax Area, said owners of real estate
to make such determination at a meeting called for such pur-
pose by the Citizens' Committee hereinafter provided for. Due
and proper notice shall be
given in advance of such meeting,
and the County Commissioners shall levy and collect whatever
tax not to exceed 30¢ may be
determined upon by a majority
of the persons present at such meeting. Such taxes shall be

collected as all other taxes in the County are collected and
shall thereupon be
paid over by the Board of County Com-
missioners to the Treasurer of said Citizens' Committee of
the Bowling Green Special Tax Area. Said Treasurer from
time to time shall give bond with corporate surety in an
amount to
be set by the said County Commissioners for his
faithful performance of his duties as Treasurer.

42. In addition to the ta® provided for in Section 41 above,
the County Commissioners of Allegany County shall be author-
ized and empowered to levy and collect a tax not to exceed 25¢
on each One Hundred Dollars of assessed valuation, the pro-
ceeds of said tax to be used to defray the cost of water pipes
to hydrants and the purchase and installation of street
hydrants in the Bowling Green Special Tax Area. Said tax
shall be levied in any amount up to 25¢ as determined by the
meeting of the resident real estate owners of said Special Area,

following the procedure specified in Section 41 hereinabove.
The levy and collection of any and all parts of the said 25¢
tax shall be discontinued when the cost of the facilities pro-
vided for hereinabove in this section has been paid in full.

48. The Citizens' Committee of the Bowling Green Special
Tax Area is authorized and empowered in its discretion to
borrow a sum or sums of money not to exceed in the aggregate
$20, 000. 00
at any one time on such terms and conditions and
at such rate of interest as may seem advisable to the said
Citizens' Committee. Any sum so borrowed shall be used in
whole or in part for any purposes lawful under the provisions
of this sub-title. The taxes collected under the provisions of
this sub-title shall be used to repay any such loans or to pay
the principal and the interest as due on any notes, bonds or
other certificates of indebtedness issued by the said Citizens'
Committee pursuant to such authority to borrow money.

44. The said Citizens' Committee of the Bowling Green
Special Tax Area shall be constituted as follows: Nine mem-
bers, who shall be elected within sixty days after the effective
date of this Act, each of whom shall qualify as such committee-
man by taking an oath before any officer in Allegany County
