canning as food, or in their discretion, to can or prepare in
any way tomatoes with tomato juice or juices only from other
sound tomatoes, provided appropriate label declarations as
required by Federal Regulations are attached to such cans. ]
any tomatoes or tomato juice with which there is used or in-
troduced into the can any liquid substance of any kind what-
ever except the juice or juices arising from the said tomatoes
themselves after they have been properly peeled, trimmed, cored
and prepared for canning as food or the juice or juices from
other sound ripe tomatoes,
OR THE JUICE OR JUICES OF
OTHER CLEAN, WHOLESOME FRUITS AND/OR VEGE-
TABLES.

235. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation
to can or prepare in any way any goods or vegetable product
purporting to be canned tomatoes or canned tomato juice [to
which may be added tomato juice or juices only from other
sound tomatoes] or having anything on the label or advertis-
ing in any way likely to deceive prospective customers with
believing that they are canned tomatoes or canned tomato juice
[to which may be added tomato juice or juices only from other
sound tomatoes], except in accordance with the provisions of
the preceding section.

236. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation
to sell or offer for sale within this State, either by retail or
wholesale, any canned tomatoes or canned tomato juice [any
canned tomatoes to which may be added tomato juice or juices
only from other sound tomatoes], or goods purporting in any
way to be canned tomatoes or canned tomato juice [to which
may be added tomato juice or juices only from other sound
tomatoes]; or having anything on the label or advertising in
any way likely to deceive prospective customers with believing
that they are canned tomatoes or canned tomato juice [to
which has been added tomato juice or juices only from other
sound tomatoes], if such canned tomatoes [, tomato juice or
juices only from other sound tomatoes] or canned tomato juice
have had at any time any liquid substance of any kind what-
ever introduced into the cans, except the juice or juices arising
from tomatoes after they have been properly peeled, trimmed,
cored and prepared for canning as food or the juice or juices
from other sound ripe tomatoes [as provided in Section 234],
OR THE JUICE OR JUICES OF OTHER CLEAN, WHOLE-
SOME FRUITS, AND/OR VEGETABLES.

237. Any person, firm or corporation, or the agent of any
person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this sub-
title relative to the manufacturing or canning of tomatoes or
