SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all of the pro-
visions of the Constitution of Maryland, all laws of the
State of Maryland applicable to the Town of Cheverly
which are now in force or may hereafter be enacted, and
all the existing ordinances of the Town of Cheverly, shall
be, and the same are hereby extended and made applicable
to such portion of Prince George's County as is, under the
provisions of this Act, annexed to and made a part of the
said Town of Cheverly; nothing herein, or elsewhere in
this Act, shall affect the power of The Mayor and Town
Council of Cheverly to amend or repeal any ordinance
existing at the date of the passage of this Act, or to enact
and ordain any ordinance which, at the date of the pass-
age of this Act, or hereafter, it may be authorized to en-
act and ordain.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is an
emergency Act and necessary to the preservation of the
public health and safety of the citizens of the territory
hereby annexed to the Town of Cheverly, and of the State
of Maryland, and three-fifths of the members of both
Houses upon a yea and nay vote having concurred there-
in, it is declared to be an emergency Act and as such to
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT authorizing the Board of County Commission-
ers of Prince George's County to issue general obliga-
tion bonds of the County in a sum not exceeding Five
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500, 000) for the purpose
of making general improvements in the Maryland-
Washington Metropolitan District of said County, as
defined in this Act; to provide for the repayment of
said bonds and the interest thereon by a general tax
levy against all of the taxable property within said
Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District and, in
