CHAPTER 55
(House Bill 34)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-
section 28 (d) of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition—being Sub-section 25A(d) in
the 1947 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title
"Administration — Registration — Titling", exempting
from the titling tax on motor vehicles ambulances held
for the use of the public and owned by any bona fide unit
of a national veterans' organization.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sub-section 28 (d) of Article 66 1/2 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition—being Sub-
section 25A(d) in the 1947 Supplement), title "Motor
Vehicles", sub-title "Administration—Registration—Titl-
ing", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
28.
(d) Certificates of title for all motor vehicles owned
by the State of Maryland or any political sub-division of
the State and for fire engines and other fire department
emergency apparatus, including ambulance operated by or
in connection with any fire department, and for ambu-
lances held for the use of the public and owned by any
bona fide unit of a national veterans' organization, shall be
exempt from the tax imposed by this section.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1952.
