dated October 29, 1951 and recorded among the Land
Records of Harford County in Liber G. R. G. No. 36k,
folio 4.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1952.

CHAPTER 48
(House Bill 20)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 40 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "General
Assembly," said new section to be known as Section 41
and to follow immediately after Section 40 of said Article,
to be under the sub-title "Electrical Voting Machine,"
providing penalties for any non-member who shall cast
a vote on any question or proposition before the House of
Delegates by using the electrical voting machine belong-
ing to any member thereof.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 40 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edi-
tion), title "General Assembly," said new section to be
known as Section 41, to follow immediately after Section
40 of said Article, to be under the sub-title "Electrical Vot-
ing Machine," and to read as follows:

Electrical Voting Machine

41. No person not a member of the House of Delegates
shall operate the electrical voting machine mechanism be-
longing to any member, so as to cast a vote on any question
or proposition before the House. Any person violating the
provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and upon conviction of such offense shall be
sentenced by the Court to imprisonment for a period of
