BANKING INSTITUTIONS OF

THIS STATE,— For the better regulation of the,

Each bank and savings institution,

during the continuance of the suspension

of specie payments, shall transmit month-

ly statements, under oath, of their con-

dition, to the Treasurer of the Western

Shore,

And a like statement to each banking

institution in the State,

"

No banks &c. during said suspension

shall extend its circulation of notes to

three times the amount of gold and sil-

ver in its vaults, its own property,

And after resumption, not to exceed

the capital actually paid in,

Shall resume specie payments in coin

on, or before 1st January 1839,

Or within 30 days after the banks of

New York, Philadelphia and Virginia
