CHAP. 32.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
of the trustees of the poor to he appointed in virtue of
this act, under the penalty of twenty five dollars. each,
to be recovered and applied as herein directed, to make
out and render to the said levy court, at their first meet-
ing in May, every year, a statement of their accounts
and expenditures, with the necessary vouchers, for the

passed by the said court, previous to the making out of
the new appointments of trustees.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That all accounts settled
by the Treasurer or Overseer of the poor, with the
trustees, shall be on oath or affirmation that they are
just and true, which oath or affirmation shall be admin-
istered by any one of the trustees.

ing.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That all the meetings of
the trustees of the poor necessary to be held for the
purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this
act, or of the original act, or of the supplements there-
to, shall be held at the Poors House in the said county,
except such meetings as may be necessary for the set-
tlement and passing their accounts with the levy court.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That after the first Mon-
day in June next, it shall not be lawful for the trustees
of the poor of said county to keep any out-pensioners;
but that the levy court of said county, may and they
are hereby authorised and empowered in their discre-
tion to keep any number of out-pensioners.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That the clerk of said
court shall be allowed twenty-five cents for each certi-
ficate of appointment which he shall make out and
deliver to the sheriff, and the sheriff shall be allowed
fifty cents for the delivery of each of the said certifi-

shall receive as compensation for their services two
dollars for each day they shall set as trustees aforesaid;
provided, the said trustees shall not meet oftener than
once a month, all of which charges, and allowances are
to be levied, collected and paid over as other county
