CHAP. 257.

An act for the relief of Peter Causey, of Worcester
County.

Passed Mar. 24,

1838.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of Worcester county be, and they
are hereby authorised to levy upon the assessable pro-
perty of said county, a sum, in their discretion, nut
exceeding thirty dollars in any one year, for the sup-
port end maintenance of Peter Causey.

CHAPTER 256.

Levy $30.

An act to Divorce Sally Ann Porter, of Talbot County,
from her husband James Porter.

Passed Mar. 84,
1839.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sally Ann Porter, of Talbot county, be, and she
is hereby declared to be divorced from her husband
James Porter, a mensa et thoro.

CHAPTER 257.

Divorce

An act for the rebuilding of Millington Bridge, in Kent
and Queen Anne's County.

Passed Mar. 27,
1838.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That William F. Smith and John I. Pen-
nington, of Kent county, and James Stant, Joseph M.
Smith, of Queen Anne's county, be, and they are here-
by appointed commissioners, and are authorised and
empowered to contract for, superintend and direct the
building, or repairing the bridge across the head of
Chester river, at Millington; provided, that the said
commissioners shall not proceed to act, unless in the
opinion of the county commissioners or levy court of
said counties, the mutual interest and convenience of
said counties require the erection or repairs of said
bridge.
