CHAP. 244.

CHAPTER 243.

Passed Mar. 24,
1838.

An act to provide for the compensation of the Crier of
Calvert County Court.

Levy $120 an-
nually.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the allowance, by law, of fees to the Crier of
Calvert county court, be, and the same is hereby re-
pealed, abrogated and annulled, and the commissioners
of the said county, are hereby authorized and directed
at their next meeting for laying the county levy, and
annually thereafter, to levy for the use of the crier of
the said court, on the assessable property in said coun-
ty, one hundred and twenty dollars, which shall be in
lieu of all other allowance or compensation whatever,
and the same shall be collected and paid over as other
public charges are collected and paid, in the said
county.

CHAPTER 244.

1838.

An act to Divorce James I. Pattison, of the city of Bal-
timore, from his wife Eleanor Pattison.

Divorce.

SECTION l. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That James I. Pattison, of the city of Bal-
timore, be, and he is hereby declared to be divorced
from his wife Eleanor Pattison, a vinculo matrimonii.

Rights and
claims annull-
ed.

SEC. 2. Anil be it enacted, That the said Eleanor Pat-
tison shall not be entitled to any property, real, per-
sonal or mixed, of which the said James I. Pattison is
now or shall hereafter become possessed of. nor shall
the said James I. Pattison be in any manner entitled to
any property, real, personal or mixed, of which the
said Eleanor Pattison is now or shall hereafter become
possessed of, in accordance with a deed of separation
heretofore had and mutually entered into between the
said James I. Pattison and the said Eleanor Pattison.
